At this moment I'm already back home after spending 4 days in Copenhagen for fashion week and for a citytrip.
It was very tough to do a citytrip while it's outside -10 degrees, so cold! But we still enjoyed shopping ;).
I'm showing you a little preview from the upcoming blogposts about the By Malene Birger show in Copenhagen and my outfit.
Two days ago Karl Lagerfeld launched a new affordable line "The Karl Collection" exclusively on the luxury webshop Net-a-Porter. The collection will be featured in five international pop-up store windows by Net-a-Porter in London, Paris, New York, Berlin and Sydney. There were hunderds of people waiting for the launch in front of the pop-up stores. The collection contains evening and daywear; t-shirts, bags, shoes and sequin jackets, all with a distinct rock 'n' roll inspired edge. The prices are very affordable; €69 for a tanktop, €160 for pants and €260 for a biker jacket. My favorite items from the collection are the fake leather pants and sequin shorts!
Quote Karl Lagerfeld:
"It's my today's taste and style and a reflection of how I think a great number of people would like to be dressed now. I just want not too expensive clothes that people may like and perhaps want to wear. That was my concept for a long time, but my business partners in the past wanted to be like Chanel or Fendi without putting behind what is needed to be like that."
I told you in my previous blogpost that I went to the biannual professional trade platform; Modefabriek.
I was there to take a look at the new collections, unfortunately I didn't had enough time to see everything.
But I do have enough photos to show you, here is part 1!
Just a few detail shots from the Cutting Edge platform, where 15 young international designers show their collection. Starting with the cupcakes from Rotterdam based fashion designer Jonathan Christopher, braided tops and dresses from London based designer Eleonor Amoroso, inspired by Japanese rope bondage. She als showed the collection during London Fashion week, love the collection! The yellow dress is from British designer Conchita Perez, she has worked for fashion designer Alexander McQueen and worked also as a fashion designer for Spanish brand Bershka.
These two lovely items are on my wishlist for the spring/summer.
The jacket is from the new collection from Mango and the shoes are from Diane von Fürstenberg.
The Opalwedgeswerealready inthecollection last season indifferentcolorsand there were also look a likes from Steve Madden and Aldo. I wantedthemso badly but I couldn't find the shoes anymore in my size.. new season, new chances?
Okay, I have to admit.. 'I'm addicted to online shopping'
And it's so not good for my bankaccount (and wishlist) to go through all the sale items on my favorite webshops.
I just saw this cute bow tie blouse from by Malene Birger (which is my favorite brand) and it fits perfectly in my closet.. but hey.. I have to save my money for my trip to Copenhagen which is in 3 weeks! Can't wait to visit the by Malene Birger store (and maybe I will find this blouse..)
